INTRODUCING: JADE JAGGER JEWELS (COMING SOON!)

As you know, we love jewellery here at Shine, and is always on the lookout for something special.

Jade Jagger makes fabulous jewels, and has a long history in design and fashion business. As the daughter of Mick and Bianca Jagger, she spent her childhood in Paris, New York and London, hanging out with the likes of Andy Warhol amongst others.

 After studying painting in Florence she held numerous successful exhibitions of her works before her freewheeling entrepreneurial spirit led her to set up Jade Inc., applying a colourful, bohemian aesthetic to one-of-a-kind jewellery pieces.  Her jewellery was initially available exclusively through Paul Smith stores around the world. The response from clients and press was overwhelming and led to an impressive international list of stockists including Maxfields, Bergdorf Goodman, Barneys, Collette, Browns, The Cross and A La Mode amongst others. Jade Inc. had become a global business. Jade’s critical and commercial success did not go unnoticed by Asprey & Garrard, and in September 2000 she was appointed fine jeweller to the House seeing out a successful six-year creative directorship

Now taking time to solely concentrate on her intricately crafted fine jewellery collection, Jade divides her business between her London store and India, taking inspiration from traditional Indian materials and reworking them for the contemporary customer.

Jade’s maverick sensibility, combining refined luxury and grounded values, has created the many facets for the Jade Jagger design brand.

The legendary bag, now in a lovely almost-black shade. Such a classic in the softest leather. 

This is t h e jacket! Sort of a mix between aviator and biker style, it has panels of navy wool, teamed with leather, and a collar of fake fur. Gives you instant power woman feeling, and great over dresses as well as with trousers. 

This knitted jumper with panels of colours is super sweet and easy to wear. And warm! 

This is a knitted wool t-shirt with a slightly oversize shape, good on its own or with a basic Vanessa Bruno polo or long sleeve under, for warmth.

MONDAY MORNING NEWS FROM AYMARA

We got news from Aymara! This Bolivian fair-trade brand is hand made by women who make a decent amount of money, unlike some of their fellow Bolivians. 

This makes the quality excellent, using cashlama and babylama wool in their knits. which has the warmth of wool, but isn't itchy whatsoever. 

This grey dress is so wearable, here shown with the longer cardigan over, in a beautiful grey nuance.
